re: What's the worst thing you ever cooked?

I like to add fresh spinach to my Italian meat sauce, forgot to pick some up so I ran to the little country store down the road, of course there was no fresh spinach so I saw a can of spinach & thought "what the hell, I'll give it a try". It literally turned my meat sauce green & it tasted like grass. If you've ever seen what a water trough looks like after cows who've been eating green clover looks like, then you know what my meat sauce with canned spinach looked like. Dogs ate like kings for the next couple of days.
