What a bunch of prudes in here!

couldn't be further from defining a prude than me, covering up the body with ink is just trashy, no way to make it untrashy, some day all of these people will try to establish careers, interview for jobs, etc., but fortunately for them, by that time there will be an ink anti-discrimination law or some sort of protection for making a stupid permanent decision when they were young

I'm covered in ink from my elbows to my shoulders and my back. I am an engineer, and have a damn good paying job.

However, if my tattoos ever hold me back, I will accept that as a consequence of my own choices.

I see being trashy as a description of the way one lives their life, not whether or not they have ink. As long as the women in question support themselves, I don't see it as trashy at all.

Certainly, there are trashy bitches with ink. There are, also, trashy bitches without ink. Basically, having ink or not does not make a person trashy or not trashy.

Check.

Checkity, check.

I consider it a significant parenting failure on my part that I have 2 children with tattoos and the third almost certainly will. They're stupid kids and they do stupid things. But, I did everything in my power to discourage it. One has a service related tattoo (USAF) and both children have tattoos that are completely covered by ordinary work attire - so, at least they listened to about 1/4 of what I said.

Having said that, I reject the artistic argument, too. No matter how gifted the "artist" - the skin is a poor canvas and the pigments used to completely disfigure and scar the skin in an "artistic" way are inadequate to the task. The "artwork" does not age well and generally allows people to make assumptions about you that you don't want them to make.

I can't see how an intelligent person can override all that good sense and PAY for this disfigurement.

But, it's a new world. They can keep their inked up selves off my lawn, I guess.

I have two sleeves and have a great career making $41/hr. So, so much for that.
