I agree with you to an extent. However, go re-watch Jennings' first INT against NMSU. The vaunted Aggie defense rushed only 4 guys. On a play where all 4 receivers ran vertical routes that take time to develop, LSU's RT didn't even attempt to block NMSU's left DE. Instead, he doubled teamed the left DT, leaving Hillard with the responsibility to block the DE. The pressure forced Jennings to step up and throw quicker than he wanted to. I can't imagine on a pass play that LSU was so concerned about NMSU's DT that they were willing to let the End run free.

That also could be a quarterback issue. If he checks to the wrong protection, you could end up with something like that.
