I asked to drive one with and without at the dealer before I purchased mine. A grown man can handle the steering without it just fine, but I ended up getting it. I have 2 kids, and I knew the power steering would make it easier for them to drive around. I also liked the way it steered with it, but wouldn't say I couldn't do without it. Before I drove both, I wasn't going to get it. After I drove both, I got it. So, I guess I would suggest you ask to drive each and make your decision based on that and if you want to spend the extra $.

As do I, but mine are young enough where they will be in lap driving it for the next few years.

FYI - I'm going for a test drive at 2 p.m. today and will bump the thread shortly thereafter with my observations.
