Yes my highbrowed friend....and the new nation of Louisiana would be even poorer and would have even less of a safety net than it does today....thus it would be akin to a third world country...except it wouldn't be because the United States already has one festering cesspool of corruption and poverty on its southern border and another one is simply not tenable....

LA has one of the fastest growing economies in the nation. It's improving, while states like Michigan and Connecticut are dying.
