Thats why he needs a title shot!
I mean he was supposed to fight Khabib last weekend, with the winner getting a title shot. Cowboy showed up and won, he shouldn't be punished because Khabib pulled out for the THIRD time. Well he can't do any worse than he did in his last attempt against Pettis. That was a terrible showing, and I thought he had quit on his career after that.
Cerrone should just stay healthy and keep training in case Pettis or Melendez gets injured, so he can fill-in.
Crazy stat I read the other day. Since Cowboy & Pettis fought in 2013:
-Cowboy is 6-1 with 4 finishes
-Pettis is 1-0
