The wife is due today, but all signs are pointing to her having to be induced sometime next week.
I might see you at the hospital. I am having my third hopefully today. My wife is set to be induced Tuesday.
And to answer your question from my personal experience, yes we had to induce the first one. We did it 2 days after his due date. When we induced it made her contractions go off the charts. It was painful for her and me watching not being able to do anything. The second she just went into labor and it was much easier for her.
There isn't much better than watching a new life you made come into this world. It is truly a miracle.
Good luck.

We induced our first...showed up at the hospital at 10pm and the nurses got her checked in and started some iv fluids and ready for a Pitocin drip to start at 4am.
Pitocin made contractions go off the charts pretty quickly, got a epidural around 9:30am and then she gave birth to our daughter around 3.
She liked being about to have a little more control over the process...
