See, this is the problem. People have a hard time acknowledging that Peterson crossed the line and ventured well into child abuse territory. The reason they have such a problem is because to rightfully criticize Peterson, they have to indirectly criticize their parents and/or grandparents.

Look, what happened to you was an accepted method of "discipline" for years, but we've progressed as a society and that kind of behavior is ancient. There are better and more effective ways to discipline your children than trying to beat the bad out of them.

If you'd like to spank them, that is fine, but you need to know where the line is, and you should accept the consequences of crossing that line. Do not expect to fall back on the way you were raised as an excuse.

Bro, earlier you equated spanking to slavery. You may have been speaking only of Peterson, but it read as all spanking to me.

I respectfully disagree it that's your position.

And to the Louisiana lady... If you wait until your kids are in kindergarten to straighten them out, you've lost them.

Peterson obviously went to far.

I never defended Peterson. I just took exception to you insulting my dead grandmother and how she raised me. Perhaps had your parents had better parenting skills they'd have made you apply yourself more at learning reading comprehension.
