For an average RV, I'd probably spend $30K+.
Try used Winnebago at best..

Is it really worth the cost?
Depends, My Dad has one and when he takes it on trips, fueling up is costly, He normally puts in over 100 gallons of Diesel

We could go on a bunch of family vacations for $30K.
True, depending on where you go and how frugal you are
And to answer other question, he barely uses his and is considering selling it.. but, 30k would probably not cover down payment

We use ours at least once a month. We figured if we were going to spend the money then we were going to use it. My daughters are always asking when our next trip is.
It's great to get away from the house and all of the crap that piles up and just go relax somewhere.
If you have a good tow vehicle, get you a Travel Trailer. Invest in one with a slide out. It doesn't seem like much but it makes a huge difference in the livable space when you get there.
