Yes. And I asked for your alternative theories and received nothing. Pretty well established that fear is based in ignorance. Not really that debatable.

No you are afraid because you are ignorant to what is in the bushes. Once you find out there is nothing in the bushes you are not afraid. If the man is in the bushes you afraid because you are ignorant to how to defend yourself. Once you know how to defend yourself you are not afraid. It is you who need to use common sense.
