Well, true. This is Doctor Who, after all. Any number of timey wimey explanations could be invoked.
But I do hope the ending for her if it is coming (don't tell me if you know for sure) is at least slightly happy. I wouldn't have cared too much if she had died in time of the doctor, but this year so far she has been outstanding, and I think she adds a lot to the show.
