That's true.
But there is a reason it got left out of the BCS...
It was DOA...long before that.
1978 was the epicenter of last true greatness.
1984 was still important
From 1995 on...total joke. #21 USC vs. unranked Texas Tech.

Olympics. No one pays attention anymore. End of the cold war made them irrelevant.
