I've always maintained that I didn't like turnips. Now I know that with enough cream and butter, turnips are quite tasty!
Balls, I think the whiskey drinkers on this board would have enjoyed the pairings. Slow and Low was my favorite.
I took only a splash of each serving of whiskey and then added water. I was driving after the meal, after all.
Matisyeezy, you are right about the pork belly and combination of flavors. With the sweet chili sauce and the sriracha aioli ... each element made it very delicious. My BFF was going so slow with hers, I was tempted to snatch her second lettuce wrap from her plate. I managed to maintain my dignity, however.
