short story: asshat wasnt going 100 MPH down the road and he has time to react to the car turning.
second, going half that speed means he would have only been maybe 150 feet away and the driver would never have turned in front of him at that distance.

We're just not going to see eye to eye here. I always err on the side of caution when crossing traffic. I'd have handled it just fine.
