1. Wear BGSU gear
2. Stay in NOLA Friday night, hit up the quarter and Frenchman but don't party all night because you want to........
3. ...get to LSU's campus EARLY on Saturday. Trust me, if you wait until noon then you've wasted a good four hours. Things get ramped up a notch the final few hours of the day. Getting there early will allow you to walk around and really enjoy the beauty of the campus and the early smells of the grills before it gets crazy.
4. Walk around as much as you can. The tailgating goes on for miles in all directions. Definitely hit up the parade grounds, touchdown village and catch the band coming down the hill. Make sure you play a game of washers.
5. I know people have said different things about when to get tickets but if I were in your shoes id get tickets ASAP. It's a much better feeling when you're walking around with a strong buzz knowing that you already have your ticket in your wallet.
6. Get in the lower bowl if you can. The band and crowd are so much louder there. One possible exception would be the SRO tickets at the top of the new expansion. That seems like it would be an awesome experience for a big group at a fraction of the cost of a lower bowl ticket.
7. Make sure to come back on the Rant and post a detailed follow up if your experience.
