i think it actually worked very well. Of course this wasn't a big game. But , i was able to leave lot 401 at about 10:30, go south in the northbound lane all the way to bluebonnet. was home in Gonzales by 11:15.

For those that live off Brightside, is there no way to get to Bob Petit/Alvin Dark? That's how I would beat the contra flow after games...park around W. Parker and then Burbank to Jennifer Jean or somehow get to E. Boyd and down to Nicholson then go through Tigerland.
If I had to guess, they've probably changed something making this impossible now though...

It is (and will be) great for anyone parking north of North Stadium until the bridge.
People who park south of South Stadium who actually are headed to points south should like the set up as well (with the exception of the prohibition on turning off of RR onto Brightside).
People that are getting fricked with this plan are:
a) people with parking passes south of South Stadium that must head north (e.g., getting to MRB) - they will have to either wait for the contraflow to end, or go to Bluebonnet and then up to 10;
b) visiting fans - seriously, they don't know where they are going to begin with, and now most of the parking spaces they normally would take are gone.

I haven't read the entire thread, but we went out Skip Bertman to River Rd and turned right to hit I-10W. Almost no one appeared to want to use the left lane. I got in the left lane and went all the way to downtown with no problem. My biggest issue was having to go back through the parking lot near Alex Box to get on Skip Bertman since I couldn't take Gourrier to get to River Road. I guess when everyone figures out how to properly use both lanes it will end up looking like this.

I started crying as i sat in Contraflow saturday, but the BRPD made my tears flow counter-intuitively back into my eyeballs.
