GT has won a NC since UGA has. Not mention the city of ATL alone supplies enough talent to compete on a national level. It would be a great job for the right coach.

True but it's not the same climate with the admin now as then. There were more exemptions given for football players who didn't meet admin requirements in the 90s than there are now.
There was an issue with players across all sports not able to keep up with grades and become ineligible and the administration buckled down.
