I wonder if it will ever come to this. I still don't believe they'll strike or it will be short lived, but attempting to drive up the prices by striking is only going to hurt them, like others have said.

People will buy the Indo/Bangla shite. Which is where most of shrimp is coming from.

I see the brands and companies, and the indo and bang shite is 3/4 of the stuff i see bring shipped and sold.

I'm in the shrimping industry. I work on my dad's shrimp boat. The problem is everyone took their oil spill money and put down payments on these big boats that they can't afford to pay the bank notes on. It's their fault. But for the price on shrimp to drop over a dollar since the 18th of August is outrageous. Some of them are greedy yes. but then there are the people trying to make an honest living.

Also Viets can afford to work because the government hands everything they need to them. New boats, equipment, etc.
ETA: I have nothing to complain about, we have a small boat so we can actually make a profit because of low fuel consumption. But we also have the option of bringing them back home and sell directly if need be.
