Did this really happen? I wanted to learn more about this but could only find references to Rush making the comment at a Rush to Excellence tour stop a couple of weeks later.
Snyder died on July 3rd. Would Rush do a live broadcast on a big holiday like Fourth of July?
Whether he made the comment on the air or at a live event with a much smaller audience, it shows bad taste.

Liberal activists like Mitch Snyder lying their asses off to BS Congress to grant them tax dollars is in pretty bad taste, also. But maybe that's just my opinion.
