Was Furman a good 1-AA ( I refuse to call them by another name)? I was certain we played a weak team even for their division recently.

Firman was 3-4 last season when they met up with LSU. They finished up the season 8-6, Southern Conference co-champs and lost in the 2nd round of the playoffs. But they're usually a pretty solid FCS program.
Towson was 1-10 the year before they went 9-3.
