What's the BSOD code/message? When does it happen (what applications/games, etc)? How do you know the video card is causing it? Have you checked temperatures during use before it crashes? What model/specs is the laptop? And if you just want to buy a new one because whatever, what do you intend to use it for?

embarrassing, but it happened twice on facebook today, forgot the other time.

main use is simple work functions, but I do have steam downloaded, and play some browser games as well.
