Renouned German meteorologist destroys and lampoons reports of Antarctic and Greenland ice loss.

quote:

Numerous evaluations of coastal tide gauges over 200 years as well as the gravity measurements of the GRACE satellite deliver again and again a sea level rise of about 1.6 mm/yr. … Here…the trends are in agreement: The sea level rise has been linear for at least the last 100 years; there is no acceleration in sea level rise. A signal indicating man-made CO2 (AGW) is nowhere to be seen. This stands in stark contradiction to the claims and especially the alarmist prognoses of the IPCC and some climate institutes.” - See more at: https://notrickszone.com/2014/08/27/senior-meteorologist-demolishes-mocks-alfred-wegener-institute-claims-of-unprecedented-antarctica-ice-loss/#sthash.sZRGUpig.dpuf

Okay? Where is the big rise in sea levels?

Geez, let not pussy foot around. Are we in a global warming trend? Well yes, we are. We are talking about long term trends. Not what you look out your window and see.

Are we causing the majority of this... well, to be honest, that is up for grabs. We do know that there is a buttload of people on this planet. Are we contributing to the overall process of global warming? Well, hell, lets be honest. There are 7 some odd billion of us.

And now we get to nitty gritty. Can we do more to offset a global warming trend and maintain the growth of not only first world countries but the great raise of third world countries?

We are probably doing as much as the economy can withstand. Yes, having a wonderfully balanced plan for fossil fuels might be great. But let us not forget that new and cleaner coal power stations have been bumped because we all know coal is bad.

The real question is... if this a long term problem, which it looks to be, why aren't people looking at long term solutions instead of short term policies that do more harm then good?
