re: How is there not already a thread on the traffic in Baton Rouge this morning?

point is, it made it a little better. a little better from one of the worse traffic cities in america isn't much of an improvement.

I don't see the point in having shoulders, or big shoulders. If there's a wreck, they aren't sitting in the shoulder with the cops, b/c if they could, they'd just get off the interstate all together. If the wreck is bad enough, people on both sides of the interstate will stop to see it and traffic is backed up, regardless if it's on the shoulder.

They should have made the median taller so we couldn't see the other side, and they should have made it 4 lanes and make the shoulder smaller. make them just big enough to give you some wiggle room. but i guess you need one shoulder wide enough so emergency vehicles can get to accidents.
