Someone needs to develop a device that prevent the lowering of the window cover. I hate people who take the window seat and immediately close it.

Why don't you just get a window seat? 
Also you cannot "buy" an exit row seat on all airlines ahead of time. only offered to FF's until you are closer to departure

gets really hot when the sun is on it.
I get the window seat mainly for control of the window. I like to randomly look down and try and figure out where I am.
