For you that aren't from here, Jackson Preparatory is an elite private school in the Jackson suburbs. Many doctors in the stands watching the game - doctor saw him on the sideline and advised him to go to the ER. They went by private vehicle instead of ambulance.
The story hints of it, but there is a lot of speculation that if he would have been transported by ambulance, he may have made it, as they could have gotten him oxygen and things that he needed. The hospital is a 10 minute drive without traffic, and he went in as a normal ER patient instead of via ambulance. Time was a factor. He had a seizure in the ER and never came out of it.
