Look up the number of carries each back had in the last several years. These stats will surprise you.

What exactly do you think the stats show? To me it shows if your the best back your going to double the amount of carries as the next back. Your going to get 200 + carries a season, plus whatever you do in the passing game.

Also, many of those carries for the other backs are carries they accumulated during garbage time of blowouts.

What do you think would be "using Fournette right"? You want the kid to get 300 carries? Ingram won a Heisman and didn't even get that many carries.

2013
Jeremy Hill - 203 Carries
Terrence Magee - 86 Carries
Alfred Blue - 71 Carries
Kenny Hilliard - 68 Carries

2012
Jeremy Hill - 146 Carries
Spencer Ware - 94 Carries
Kenny Hilliard - 82 Carries
Michael Ford - 71 Carries

2011
Spencer Ware - 177 Carries
Michael Ford - 127 Carries
Alfred Blue - 78 Carries
Kenny Hilliard - 62 Carries

2010
Stevan Ridley - 249 Carries
Michael Ford - 45 Carries

2009
Charles Scott - 116 Carries
Keiland Williams - 70 Carries

2008
Charles Scott - 217 Carries
Keiland Williams - 83 Carries
Richard Murphy - 44 Carries

2007
Jacob Hester - 225 Carries
Keiland Williams - 70 Carries
Trindon Holliday - 53 Carries

What people think were "by committee" these years, they were not.

2011
-Ware before suspension (18.3 carry avg)
-Ford as 2nd leading rusher before Ware suspension (9.6 carry avg)

2012
-Hill after emerging at USCe (18.4 carry avg)
-Ware as 2nd leading rusher after Hill's emergence (7.7 carry avg)

So there is definitely a #1 back, and once he proves himself, he will get around 18 carries a game at the least.
