lol. Walk around Birmingham around 5th ave for about a block and you will see a dozen, minimum.

Let me clarify that statement...

There are plenty of MD's that will wear their white coats when they are around a major hospital complex. At Johns Hopkins, people would wear their coat to nearby walking-distance restaurants.

That's not unusual, but I usually don't see someone in their white coat shopping at a local Wal-Mart or eating at a restaurant, they would leave their coat in their car.

I'm gonna go ahead and assume this is near the medical school and huge medical center they have out there. Which would be pretty normal.
