I'm really glad to see them getting some good pub.

Last year and during the season it seemed to be few and far between from writers.

I'm curious as to why there was so much of the latter last year? Was it because in the media's eyes we built "the wrong way"?.

Nah. Plenty of high profile outlets were kind in preseason forecasts even if commenting that the Holiday and Evans moves were risky and that the team might miss the playoffs. There were (and still are) backcourt fit questions. Once injuries started happening there was no reason to talk about the Pels in a national sense until Davis started his domination. Even then, he was no different than Kevin Love- monstar numbers on a bad team.

The main difference: Davis was coming off a solid but limited rookie season. Everyone was high on him and his potential, but even the biggest Pels homer wasn't predicting he would be this good this soon. Now he's anointed as the next MVP by the current one. Slight improvement in q rating
