Rob Gronkowski (knee) participated in 11-on-11 drills for the first time in training camp on Monday.
Per reporter Mike Reiss, there was a "lot of balls thrown his way." It's another huge step in the right direction for Gronk, though he should still be considered questionable for Week 1. He's not going to see preseason action, while the ever-coy Pats are unlikely to make any grand declarations about his early-season availability. Fantasy owners will just have to continue reading the tea leaves. Right now, they're cautiously optimistic.

Rob Gronkowski (knee) says he plans to play all 16 games.
Speaking after returning to 11-on-11 drills on Monday, Gronk said he's experienced no setbacks in his recovery from his torn ACL and MCL. Although playing all 16 games might be Gronk's plan, there's no guarantee it's the Patriots'. Coach Bill Belichick won't tip his hand before Week 1. The body of evidence suggests Gronk will be ready to go for the opener, but it's not something fantasy owners can take for granted.
