Quail shooting can be high intensity, and when you're caught up in the moment and leading a flushed bird, he might fly right across somebody in your party (or a dog). Always try to know where everyone is and keep your head while shooting. I've got a buddy who's a quail guide for a big ranch in Texas and he's been peppered by clients a few times. Thankfully no big injuries.
