I fired a guy on Easter Sunday once.
Found out he lied to me about something pretty serious so I called him up and told him not to come to work anymore. He was upset I did it on Easter Sunday but I was pissed and didn't want to waste my time dealing with it the next day.

I fired someone via text message. He was always on his phone at work texting people. Constantly. I told him three times that his phone was a huge issue and could cost him his job. He didn't change so I sent a text and told him not to come to work anymore.
He got the message.
