What the other guy said... Restorations are expensive and/or time consuming. But if you insist, don't re-gelcoat. Have it painted with a good quality paint (Awlgrip, Imron, Sikkens, etc). Holds up way better than gelcoat. And even more utilitarian would be a wrap.

The boat has been in the family since new. Dad bought it and he always wanted to keep it. He passed in October. My brothers and I want to do this because of the history and the expense will be shared five ways.

Looking for a good paint shop that won't bend us over.
