Just got it a few days ago. Psn name is holyman3078. Of course my PS4 started to have power supply problems so I'm going to have to get that figured out. Woo! Game is awesome this far though feel free to add me!

They happen randomly during the game so you just have to get lucky and see them. Essentially it lets you know when it does and the goal is to go kill a bunch of stuff really fast.

Random events that occur on each planet that upon completion you will receive reputation points, vanguard marks, glimmer (I think) and either ascendant shards or ascendant energy (both of which are needed to upgrade legendary items). Ascendant shards are used to upgrade legendary/exotic armor where as ascendant energy is used to upgrade legendary/exotic weapons.
