Did the DOJ intentionally supply weapons to known drug cartels ?-Yes

Did they make an attempt to track them?-No

Were they used to murder innocent civilians-Yes, at least 150 Mexican nationals were killed or maimed by these weapons

I don't care about Mexican civilians, did anyone of consequence get killed with these weapons?-Yes, U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was murdered with one of these weapons

Did anyone question the legality or logic of providing criminals with these guns-Yes, Congress attempted to find out exactly what had happened in this case and attempted to investigate the program. Eric Holder refused to provide subpoenaed documents in the investigation and was held in contempt of Congress. President Obama invoked executive privilege to block access to these documents.

Those are the facts, spin it how you want.

Actually the DOJ didn't "supply weapons to known drug cartels". Instead, when gun shop owners flagged suspected straw purchasers, the DOJ told them to allow the sale (with the stupid intent to track them).

So in other words, the DOJ waived the gun control law which I take it you are opposed to? If we had no gun control laws, then there would be nothing stopping these cartels from buying all the guns they want.

Isn't the argument against gun control that criminals will get the guns no matter what gun control you have? Wouldn't these cartels have guns to kill agents like Brian Terry even had they not purchased them in that instance? Isn't that the argument of the NRA?
