I have been a LSU fan since the age of three and that was 49 years ago. I didn't go to LSU but my dad was a high school football coach and we lived and died football. Especially LSU.

Some of the greatest memories I have is my dad , my brother, and me laying in front of our console stereo listening to tiger games with John Ferguson calling the games and ol Charley Mac at the helm.

I take LSU losses hard and wins put a smile on my face all week but no matter what I am an LSU Tiger down to my soul.

Tiger Stadium is hallowed ground to me and I feel the spirit of every player that graced that field when I am lucky enough to be there for a game.

The best advice I could give to anyone is to show up early and stay late and cherish every damn moment of being a Tiger fan.

Because memories shared with loved ones at a Tiger game and talking about them with my dad and brother on the phone from California help me in missing Louisiana every day of my life.

I know some people don't understand how you can love a university you didn't go to but I am from Louisiana and I will be a Tiger till my last breath.

I have an LSU room in my house in California and my golden tabby is named Tiger.

I want to have some of my ashes spread on LSU campus so I can watch them for eternity.

I am very grateful to all LSU fans for their passion that makes being a Tiger fan so much fun.

And I know 1-9 hurts but that is what is so great about there always being the challenge of the next year and the players coming in and seeing the new players who said I want to be a tiger.

If you can step back once in awhile and realize it isn't just the winning and losing but the time spent with loved ones and the enjoyment of going to the games and watching them with friends.

That's the good stuff and don't lose sight of the fact that these players put their heart and souls into putting that LSU uniform on and representing us and that is good enough for me.
