Yep
Which is why it pays to have GMs that actually know how to do their job and manage costs.
Operating at 27% is pretty impressive, jmarto. Hope they pay you well with a nice bonus structure built in

Once upon a time. They stuck it hard to the GM's and helped out the assistants. I'm still doing well but not like it once was. Rumor is they are rethinking things now that they hear about myself and other GM's getting recruited. Also, that 27% isn't going to hold much longer. With the wing changes coming up, along with a few other changes, I'm expecting to go to a 29% cost.

The answer is $7.
If you serve alcohol, then it's much more.
But the answer to your $20 question is about $7.00, if you are talking about your standard restaurant.
Eta: in 2006 a 32 oz Coke cost .22 cents.
