Our children were both pretty easy as babies. And as newborns, that is when I think it is easiest. They cant go anywhere or do anything and they are pretty light. When they start to wander off is when it gets more challenging.

Congratulations.

I have a 7mth old boy and a another on the way. Pray that she doesn't have colic, that's fricking horrible. Besides that, many sleepless nights and diaper changing and a lot of crying. Sounds horrible.... but as soon as you see them look at you in the eye w a huge smile on their face.... it makes every minute worth it.

Oh invest in plenty of diapers, wipes and onesies. Good Luck bud

ETA: Be their for your wife/S.O. Help them out as much as possible bc if she is breast feeding, it wont be you waking up 6x a night to feed. Wash clothes, dishes, fix dinner. Be that dad that does all he can and then some. after the first month I got my wife an all day massage just to get out of the house. Let her have her time to be alone... its a different ballgame pal, but ull adjust.
