So you're saying that Ryan's defense is most effective when you don't know where the pressure is coming from
Yes

people knew Junior was rushing the passer most of the time last year, and he still had 12 sacks
Individual sack count is irrelevant. If you had a more balanced LB playing in Junior's place last year I think we still would have the same or better total sack count for the year for the team.
I simply think having one of your LB playing as a DE every down he's in is a liability in run/scramble defense. If I had to choose between paying Cam Jordan or Junior, I would hands down pick Jordan. If I had to pick between paying Hicks or Junior, I would pay Hicks. His potential to pair with a NT and eat up four blockers creates endless opportunity on blitz packages from the second level of the defense.

Disagree, and so does the rest of the NFL.

I don't agree with this either. You take away pass rush ability and you give run stopping ability (which Galette wasn't near as bad as you are making him out to be), and obviously, the pass rush goes down.

Ahhh, we finally agree. While I love Junior, I feel Jordan and Hicks are the future of the New Orleans front.

Um, no. The guy is a gifted pass rusher.

He graded out -0.1 last year against the run, which is just a notch below average. He's not the liability you're making him out to be.

Well he was really a DE last year. He certainly wasn't a liability to us
