He learned how to hit the hole and take positive yardage rather than trying to break every run. I always thought he was pressing himself to make a big play every touch because he knew he wasn't getting a full workload. Now that he's the main guy, he can be patient and let things develop on their own. This is pure speculation and opinion of course.
