The Army confirmed the way Davis wore the uniform does not make sense, WPTV reported. Some of the medals are positioned incorrectly.

The Army said a Cornelius Davis hasn't served in the Army since 1999 — but in the video, Davis claimed he "just got home."

Dressing in a military uniform is not a crime, the Army said.

Still, online commenters are furious with the allegedly fake sergeant.

"What a slap in the face to every soldier," one commenter wrote.

"I can't stand or even understand why people do this! The 2 real vets should have had the right to rip his uniform off," another said.
