They're only breaking the law because there is no legal option.

Did you do realize immigration from Mexico was a net negative from 2008 to about 2013?
The economy was the driver.

Is there outrage about Mexico firing on the children?

Which children, as I understand it Mexico fired at BP?

Lot of the parents hold dual citizenship and work on the US side while living on the Mexican side. The border, especially between border towns isn't as bright or angry a line as you'd like it to be. Those people have lived together, separated by only a river for generations...they're not really two different countries.
Finally, someone who understands the real world of border towns.

The Mesucans fired 50 caliber rounds and then the illegals came out. Those illegals had to be in the line of fire or no. If not the Mexicans knew full well where the illegals were and fired purposely at the BP. Acts of aggression across the border cannot go without redress.

Are they still claiming that it's "children" coming across the border?

Well I'm speaking to those border towns in SE AZ. Whether you dispute it or not, I've spoken to enough locals (born and raised here) who have gone to school with these people who tell me that's the case but I'm sure you're more of an expert on the subject than they are.
As to their individual experiences they are the experts, however, to the broader subject I do think I know a bit more. Let me ask you, do you consider the border towns of SE AZ to be home to "many" wealthy Mexicans?

Nope it's horseshite spewed by the Administration.

The amount of overall wealthy Mexican households is irrelevant to this issue, but I would not say that wealthy families comprise the majority of them population. My point is that many wealthy families along this part of the border send their children to American schools free of charge.

A lot of kids along the border cross for school during the day and go home in the evening. This has long been the case.
A lot of counties/school boards send busses to the border to pick those kids up.
