quote:He's been pretty consistent with injury stuff. Last year he was out 3 games, but in the 8 years previous he hasn't been on the injury list much at all. He won't be Julio, but he will be a consistent 7 rec/10 targets 70-80 yd 1 TD type of guy more than not. I'm always looking for guys that can get 10 or more points (15 is ideal) consistently rather than those that can pop off one or two hero games every 5 to 6 weeks (which unfortunately is Desean Jackson).
Roddy going down with injury, last week was a sign
That's part of the reason I love Ahmad so much. Even if he only gets 5 carries, he'll catch enough passes to get into double digits every week. He's also a better runner with the type of run blocking Indy does (unless they've switched of course, which I don't know). Ahmad knows where the hole is supposed to be and hits without hesitating where as Trent hesitates too much. Zone blocking at Bama teaches backs to trust your oline and wait on your oline to open several holes and you pick the best one. Plus he had the luxury of having really good offensive lines. The oline/dline parity in the nfl isn't really ideal for zone blocking I wouldn't think.
Marshawn and Jamaal both can hit the hole so fast. I actually wanted Marshawn Lynch this year much like I did Jamaal last year. He had a really good year last year but that was with a beat up oline. They had everyone back this year, so obviously you'd expect him to be better. Having Percy healthy helps too.
