Assuming Coaches always know best in something that you admit is fricking hard is stupid. That's why people know. Anyone can have insight. Read Bill Barnwell's thank you for not coaching columns. He's never coached anyone. He knows a lot better than almost all coaches the quantifiably correct call in situations that coaches routinely botch.
fans cannot possibly take into account all the actual variables such as scheduling, officiating, injuries, weather, team chemistry, player psychology, fatigue not to mention incorporating those same variables from the opponent. and this doesn't include blind luck that happens in every game.

coaches actually consider all these factors. that's why teams have an entire staff-just to try to grasp all of that. just because a fan guesses right doesn't mean he has any inkling of what's going on compared to the coaches. again, it's gross oversimplification.

Asymmetrical information, difficulty of the problem, and number of variables doesn't mean that the coach is always right and always knows more. We've already covered this ground. Optimal decisions can be made, get this, without considering all or even any information.
