With damn near 70% of black children being raised in single parent homes, Id say something is wrong.

And nothing White guys on a message board can't solve?

That number is thrown around without context when black birthrates are the lowest ever documented.

Plus 60% of ALL children born to Mothers in their 20' s are out of wedlock.

Overall by Race according to race illegitimate births

White mothers- 30% (growing & in the 1960's the Black rate of 25% was considered a 'crisis')

Hispanic mothers -53%

Black mothers-70%

Just because parents aren't legally married does not mean the Father isn't living in the home nor has a greater part in his kids life than your typical divorced father.

I know countless couples living to together or raising children who aren't married & are more engaged than your typical divorced couple.

Just because the 'Shotgun wedding' is dead in the Black community & dying doesn't mean 'unwed' mothers have been no more 'abandoned' than divorcees with kids.

Soon over half of all children in the U.S will be born out of wedlock.

The war on drugs has hurt families far more than a piece of paper (marriage license).

Toss in the high incarceration rate of young black males and it makes a good argument for it.

A lot of black mothers won't marry the black father or let him live in the same house because the black mother would lose her welfare check.
