Definitely go to Cafe Equator.
Food is delicious, especially the Panang Curry.
My only complaints are:
1) almost no parking
2) prices are higher than what they should be
Regardless, it's stil the best Thai in the NOLA area.

The parking at Cafe Equator does suck but I can usually find a spot in their back parking lot or park alongside it. I like the atmosphere and how it's pretty cozy in there and laid back. Usually just couples eating there and the right amount of people--not packed out but not so quiet that you can hear a pin drop.
It's amazing to me how people will wait 2+ hours for a table at PF Chang's yet won't go walk right into Cafe Equator and enjoy a better product for the same (if not cheaper) price.
