So much for what he said 3 years ago..... He's all about the money now. Greed! Take the 9.5mill cause without Drew he wouldn't be doing that unless he has Manning or Brady.

He kept his mouth shut while he was one of the NFL's 5 most underpaid players (maybe THE most). He deserves to get everything he can.

Drew spreads the ball around a ton. His numbers may not fall off at all with a mediocre QB that locks in on him.

First off, he has an agent, and other players around the league that stand to gain/lose money on the results of this contract. It's not just about him. The NFL and players have chosen to deal with each other through collective bargaining, and this is the type of stuff that's going to result from this.
Secondly, you're being a giant hypocrite. This is the most money he's going to make in his whole life. Football careers are usually short. If you were in his shoes, you would seek the best deal for yourself. The fact that this has been drawn out and has maybe has caused you discomfort doesn't make him greedy all of the sudden.
And using the phrase "he's all about the money now" to disparage a professional athlete is laughable. While many who play the game love it, they're most certainly playing primarily because it pays so well, and they get paid so well because we want to see them played so badly. Your patronage injects money into the sport, so if you're not happy with the salaries these players are making, then stop watching.
