Any new thoughts on this? I see theyre about to close the kickstarter. I felt the rush of needing to get in early to get one for $300; but then thought better. If they really catch on, with cartridges easy to get your hands on, the machine itself will have to be affordable right?

So are you brewing the beer from a small Keurig-sized package or are you just cooling a bag of beer and the amount of liquid in the bag is the same amount that will come from the tap? Because in that case it's just a beer-cooler and you get a more draft taste/head (which I could see some people buying depending on price).

Also, if this is about having draft beer at home, why haven't more companies started canning beer like Guinness Draught? Putting a little plastic ball in a can has got to be cheaper for beer companies than changing to an entirely new way of packaging.

Not really. It's not all that different than bottling and for craft brewers it's not like they have systems set up to bottle millions where changing it will be that much of a hassle.

I've yet to see pictures of the packaging so I don't know. It just seems like if this were something people really wanted, more companies would have already accommodated them.

Less packaging cost than bottling= cheaper overall.
If I wasn't broke I'd buy one.
