Harvin if you need immediate production and a starting WR.

Patterson if you're looking for a guy with big upside and can afford not to HAVE to start him immediately.

ETA: With that said if I already have my two viable starters at WR I'm taking Patterson because i feel like he is going to have a pretty good year if he stays healthy.

If you've already drafted 2 WR's there's almost no way Patterson will be there when you pick a 3rd. Unless you plan on going WR in rounds 1-3. Patterson is pretty high in WR rankings this year.

With that said, I would never draft P. Harvin. And if I did I would pray he had a great week 1 and I could use him as trade bait for someone more stable. He can't be trusted for more than 1/2 the season. Hell, if he makes it through training camp without getting injured it will be a win for him and shock for me.
