I am not going to get heavily into this topic but giving money to CCA provides funds to hire people who monitor anything and everything that has a regulatory impact on fishing, etc. CCA pays them to flag any new legislation that is trying to be forced through or passed without public knowledge. They have people that just sit and read all new proprosal for this purpose. CCA will flag them and then bring them up to the proper individuals. I bet you didnt know that an individual from New Orleans attached a gill net approval to a bill not related and this was caught and shot down. These are the things that people like you never hear of and the reason you never hear anything about it is because it is tabled or declined before the public even knows. Fishing resources are always under siege. They provide a necessary service so that we still have a resource to fish.

You sound like a dick.

If they are working diligently to thwart of this constant barrage of anti angling legislation, they need to speak up.

If I were a lobbying group depending on private donations to operate, every single positive thing I did would be shouted from the rooftops. That would raise both awareness and funds.

You're saying that CCA is doing great work behind the scenes, we just don't know about it. Prove it, why keep it under wraps? Why not inform the people you are asking for money what the money is being spent on?
