Good observation but no. Navy pilots are the only pilots in the world to land on a aircraft carrier day and night good or bad weather. Not to mention the fact that the flight deck pitches and rolls with the ocean. Tough stuff. Just my opinion.

I wouldn't get hung up on the fact that they do carrier landings as a criterion for determining what makes a good fighter pilot. It does take skill, but it is a learned skill that is not arcane to those who are in the Navy/Marines. The AF/Navy do exchanges from time to time, so there are actually AF pilots that are at times, carrier qualified.

That is just the landing. The real measure of a fighter pilot is in the fight. There is no way to compare there because the fighters are very different. Navy fighter planes have to be heavy due to the controlled crash they do when landing.
You can look up kill ratios and such but you are comparing apples to oranges.
